MDVP provided a 14 inch hydraulic cutter suction dredge, booster pump and 14,000 feet of pipeline and crew to dredge the Back Bay of Avalon, NJ. The channel and coves had shoaled in with sandy sediments from Hurricane Sandy and the sediments needed to be removed for safe access for public boating. Covanta had a scheduled full boiler outage in October 2017. The scope of work included ash removal in the baghouse area, sifting conveyers, ram and additional hopper cleaning throughout the facility. The work also included water blasting other key areas, so rehab work could be performed. These areas were the Quench reactor and the slurry tank.
