Mobile Dredging & Video Pipe was just contracted to complete a year-and-a-half long dredging project at Lake Linganore in Frederick County, Maryland.
Lake Linganore is a man-made lake in Maryland that provides recreation to local residents, as well as additional water supply when necessary if a drought occurs.
The project will include dredging 100,000 cubic yards of sediment (about 15 football fields, 3 feet high) out of Lake Linganore. The sediment will be pumped to a secondary site nearby where it will be dewatered, and the clean water will be put back into the lake. The sediment itself will be trucked to a local landfill where it will be used as daily cover.
